Jubilee Tower

As I said yesterday I was hoping we could have a little drive out and we did to the Jubilee tower which is situated just outside Lancaster on the Abbeystead road. I'd forgotten how high up it is!

Some info:
Capture breathtaking views of the stunningly diverse landscape of Lancaster, Morecambe and the Lune Valley. The tower, built to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, makes a superb viewing platform. From this exposed but beautiful location high on the fells there is a superb view over the Fylde and North Lancashire coastline and the Yorkshire Dales.

It was quite chilly up there but really clear, you could see for miles around! It was busy too! (I managed to snap my pics with nobody in them, LOL!)

On the way home we drove past 'Animal Care' the place where Gizzy and Calico came from so we popped in! We weren't looking for a new cat but thought it would be nice for Charlie to see some kittens, there were 2 lots, one lot were all black and the others were tabby. Both sets were only 7 weeks old. The tabbies reminded us alot of Calico as she was only 13 weeks old when we got her (8 years ago.) Charlie seemed to enjoy stroking and fussing over them, he especially liked a 7 month old cat called Jess as there was a brush in his pen and Charlie gave him a good ol' grooming, LOL! We were very good though and did manage to come away enmpty handed....phew.... I don't know how Gizzy and Calico would have reacted, LOL!!!
