A Christmas Carol
It has been a tradition for some years now that we go and watch a pantomime or play during the festive period. This was the first one though that everybody went to! Normally the men folk enjoy a drink and natter but this year they came :D. We have seen productions at the Duke's theatre a few times but this was in an area of the theatre that we hadn't been in before, the Roundhouse which as the name suggests was seating all around with the stage in the middle. I think everyone must get a good view, we certainly did and really enjoyed the performance.
A couple of photos taken from the internet.

Christmas Eve
One of my retinue mummy duties is to help make up the Christingle candles so I went along to church at lunchtime and was put on dolly mixture duty, LOL! I must admit I was grateful not to be doing the oranges, what a sticky mess they were! In all honesty it was really good fun, we soon had a production line going! We all just relaxed during the afternoon and soon it was time to go to church for the service which was lovely.
When we got home there was a surprise! The elves had left some sparkly reindeer dust, it had started raining so Charlie and Courtney had to be quick scattering it!
Look at their smart new PJ's!
Before bedtime we had a put out Father Christmas and Rudolf's treats, this years choice of drink was hot chocolate! Charlie also saved some sweeties from his Christingle that he wanted Father Christmas to have.
Lastly it was story time.
24th
It's movie night! Argus is hogging the remote, Enola is hogging the popcorn and Galan has just gone headfirst into the bag of chocolate orange!
After the Christingle service we noticed the elves had gone again! We thought they might have gone home already but Charlie found then in the kitchen! They had some reindeer food for us to sprinkle!
........and as they say in the movies 'That's all folks!' Hope you've enjoyed the elves antics......until next year!!

Visiting Father Christmas.
Last year we had such a lovely visit at Beetham Nurseries we decided to go and see Father Christmas there again. We saw his elves busy at work making all the toys.
We then walked down the sparkly path to his lovely enchanted caravan and saw Father Christmas! It was equally as magical as last year. Father Christmas was warm and kind and talked to Charlie and Courtney for some time. They spoke about our elves and Father Christmas asked if they were behaving themselves which then broke into a conversation about all the naughty things they've been doing!
On the way home we called in at Booths to go to the café.

Last minute Christmas shop!
Mark was working today so the 3 of us jumped on a double decker bus to Lancaster, went to the top deck and sat right at the front! What an adventure! We didn't really need anything but bought a few little extras for Daddy, a little toy each and had a treat in Costa!
We popped out and when we came home look, the elves are riding on the new toys!!
21st
Dashing through the snow......faster, Enola, faster! I don't think Father Christmas is amused you naughty elves!

Rodney the Stable Rat!
This year's Nativity! Charlie was in the Hillbilly choir and Courtney was a 'gift giver.' Both did so well, we're very proud of them.

Charlie & Gizzy
For a couple of weeks Charlie has been trying to encourage Gizzy to settle down on him, he lays on Mark and I all the time but of course his perception of Charlie and Courtney are 2 children who chase him and play a little too roughly sometimes! We told Charlie he'd need to be kind to him, be patient and just keep encouraging him. His patience paid off and he is delighted! That's it now Charlie every time you sit down you'll have a cat plonked on you, LOL!

As Sue couldn't come to our monthly crop yesterday she hosted a party for us this afternoon where we exchanged our gifts and had a lovely time chatting! We took a Gingerbread man and penguin along with us!
